The Agri-Water Hackathon 2026 is a three-day event organised by Ruhr University Bochum and WASCAL, and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space. It brings together participants from diverse backgrounds to explore the application of remote sensing and low-cost sensor technology to real-world challenges in agriculture, water management, and the environment. Teams work hands-on with tools such as QGIS, Google Earth Engine, and Arduino-based sensors to create a project concept that will be pitched at the online closure session.
