The EO College is a hub for digital learning content regarding Earth observation, remote sensing and related topics. The platform is designed as a repository for open educational resources and online courses.
At the moment, the following partners are contributing to the content of the EO College:
SAR-EDU
The SAR-EDU education initiative is coordinated by the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
FIS
The education initiative 'Remote Sensing in Schools' is coordinated by the Ruhr-University Bochum.
HYPERedu
The HYPERedu Education Initiative is coordinated by the German Research Center for Geosciences, Potsdam.
Our story
The EO College is a direct result of the SAR-EDU education initiative, started in 2011. Since then, not only a lot of content was created, also new partners joined the collaborative effort to provide learners with high quality content around Earth observation topics.
What once started as a simple content repository for the download of learning resources, grew into a full-size, modern eLearning platform, specifically dedicated to the Earth observation community.
