What is the ESA EO Training Academy?

The ESA EO Training Academy is a European Space Agency–funded initiative coordinated by Charles University in collaboration with the University of Ljubljana, Ruhr University Bochum, Eurisy, and Ignite Education Institute. Together, the partners aim to expand and strengthen Earth Observation (EO) education across Europe. The Academy delivers expert-led training through in-person courses, webinars, learning challenges, and an online platform, focusing on how satellites observe and analyse the land, ocean, and atmosphere. It is designed for students, professionals, and educators who want to build skills in using EO data for science, policy, and innovation.

Here, in the learning portal of the ESA EO Training Academy, you will find a central place for all things related to our training activities. Participants will be able to access schedules, materials, and recordings, while the wider community can explore selected resources to see how Earth Observation is taught and applied. The portal is still growing, and as more trainings are developed, an increasing variety courses and of materials will become available, making this site an expanding resource for learners.
